Guido Shneider est de retour sur Tuning Spork, nous ayant concocté un peu plus de morceaux House envoutants, ajoutant des parties atmosphériques à glacer le sang et des beats lancinants jetant un sort sur la piste ! Mr. Schneider est peut-être un des plus célèbres pour le nombre de productions qu’il a signé sur Poker Flat, mais il n’est pas étranger à Tuning Spork. C’est sa troisième apparition sur le label : Earth Browser en 2005, Rollacoasta en 2007 en collaboration avec Jay Haze.
Depuis il est relativement calme au niveau de ses sorties, probablement du fait qu’il soit trop occupé a faire les quatre coins du monde dans les meilleurs club en tant que Dj très demandé. Nous sommes donc heureux de le revoir en action pour le nouveau Under Control EP. Le morceau titre est une part fraîche de funk dément, un combo de roulements de percussion, gémissement de fantômes et de carillons atonals. Sur la face B, LayLieLay illustre un match de ping pong enflammé entre les Poltergeists et des singes, enregistré en live des abysses du crâne de Keanu Reeves dans le film « Le jour où la Terre S’arreta ».

Guido Schneider returns to Tuning Spork for some new concoctions of haunted housemusic, adding layers of spooky atmosphere over thumping beats to cast a spell on the dancefloor! Mr. Schneider is perhaps most famous for his numerous productions on Poker Flat, but he’s no stranger to Tuning Spork – this is his third labelappearance following 2005’s Earth Browser and 2007’s collaboration with Jay Haze Rollacoasta.
Since then, he’s beebeen relatively quiet on the production front, probably because he’s so busy touring the world’s topclubs as a highly requested DJ. So we’re glad to have him back in action for the new Under Control EP. The title track is a fresh slice of demented funk, a combo of skittering percussion, moaning ghosts and atonal chimes. On the flipside, “LayLieLay” features a heated match of ping-pong between poltergeistseamonkeys, recorded live from the abyss inside Keanu Reeves’s skull during the filming of The Day the Earth Stood Still.
