Deux frères, évidemment ultra proches et complices, pas de look ostentatoire, pas de frime inutile, juste de l’enthousiasme et un esprit d’ouverture à toute épreuve. Une ville, Lyon, le quartier général d’Agoria, des Nuits Sonores, une famille qui s’élargit, les accompagne et les chérit. Un background, le son pure et puissant des guitares électriques du début des année 90, l’indie rock des fanzines, des cheveux longs et puis la techno subversive et froide, celle qui fait monter le palpitant, le funk des machines qui donne des sueurs froides. Simples pathologies d’une révélation. La génération numérique aussi, celle de Myspace, des tracks sitôt produits, sitôt envoyés à la blogosphère, le buzz mondial en un clic et un succès fulgurant avec deux remixes pour des pop-stars internationales, Kylie Minogue, Sally Shapiro et une véritable tournée mondiale.

Mais avec le temps, les productions s’affinent, se singularisent et les SPITZER affichent une nouvelle soif de tangibilité, de construction qui se matérialise aujourd’hui par la sortie de leur premier disque microsillons sur InFiné. Le monde à l’envers ? Non, plutôt les “Montagnes Russes”.

Comment pourrait-il en être autrement avec une face A intitulé “Roller Coaster” ? Un morceau qui dévale à la vitesse de la lumière les rails d’une techno dans la pure tradition de Detroit, s’envole vers un ciel de nappes délicieusement dissonantes avant de redescendre à nouveau vers les limbes.
C’est reparti pour un tour avec “Sir Chester“, emporté par une boucle cinématique qui tourbillonne autour de quelques notes de synthé pour ne garder que le vertige jubilatoire de la post-trance.

Invitée de “Too Hard to Breathe”, KID A, jeune vocaliste américaine qui avait commencé par ensorceler la récente compilation Balance d’Agoria. Nouvelle combinaison gagnante avec ce morceau à vous couper le souffle.

These two brothers are evidently really close partners in crime. No pretense, no showing off, just a lot of enthusiasm and an undeterrably open-minded spirit. They have been guided and cherished by Les Nuits Sonores, an ever-expanding family based in Lyon; Agoria’s Headquarters. A bit of background for you: the pure and powerful sound of early 90s electric guitars, indie rock fanzines, long hair and then suddenly onto cold subversive techno that makes your heart race and machine funk that brings you out in a cold sweat. The simple pathologies of a real revelation. They’re also part of the digital generation, the Myspace generation where tracks are sent into the blogosphere to buzz across the world the moment they’re created with one simple click, this is how they ended up remixing tracks by international popstars such as Kylie Minogue and Sally Shapiro and going on a world tour.

With time, the production became sharper and stood out from the rest of the crowd, the Spitzer brothers displayed a new thirst for tangibility; which has shown itself in the form of the release of their first vinyl album on the label InFiné. A back to front world? Not really, more like a roller coaster ride.

What else did you expect from this eponymous track? It travels along the rails of techno at the speed of light, taking in the sound of Detroit and taking off towards the sky of deliciously dissonant waves before descending into a state of limbo.
Round two begins with “Sir Chester”, driven by a cinematic loop which swirls around synth notes leaving only the jubilant dizziness of post-trance music.

Guest vocalist on « Too Hard to Breathe » is KID A, a young American singer who has recently enchanted Agoria’s “Balance” compilation. This vinyl provides another winning combination of tracks which will take your breath away.

Bron, un mysterieux géant des plaines sub arctiques du Canada nous présente la deuxième sortie du label Danksoul: « Great White North » Sa première sortie est un défi nordique lancé à des grooves micro house contagieux. Le track éponyme, « Great White North » est un classique local qui a rassemblé une vague de soutien derrière lui après son introduction il y a quelques années. Le plus avant gardiste des producteur français, Le K présente de son coté un remix survitaminé, qui occupera très surement les bacs et les playlists du globe pour un bon moment. Pour finir, Bron enveloppe cet EP de beats et lignes de basses rebondissantes avec « Splash Back », suivi du suave et aerien « Postcards from the Prairies ».. un festin auditif.

Bron, a mysterious giant from the plains of Canada’s sub arctic region, comes with Danksoul’s second release “Great White North ». Bron’s debut record is a truly northern take on the infectious grooves of micro house. The title
track, “Great White North”, is a jacked-up home grown classic that has been garnering a cult-like following in Canada since its inception a couple years back. French avant-garde house producer Le K provides a heavy handed remix, which will surely occupy a permanent space in record boxes and play lists across the globe. Bron polishes off this EP with the bouncy beats and bass of “Splash Back”, followed by the soulful space hop of “Postcards from the Prairies”.

Jeune et talentueux Dj d’Amérique Latine, il commence à mixer dans les soirées à Santiago, à 20 ans. Professionnel depuis 10 ans, sa notoriété ne manque pas d’être reconnue au fur et à mesure de ses prestations. Ses influences sont la tech house rythmée à la minimal classique, en passant par la folk Chilienne ou encore les humeurs de percussions afro-latines…

Il a participé entre autres à la love Parade, Creamfieds et Southfest et a partagé la scène d’artistes comme Alejandro Vivanco, Alexi Delano, Luciano. Ce dernier, le boss du prestigieux label Cadenza, le repère et signe une de ses meilleures productions du moment, le track « Llovizna », rendu incontournable dans les clubs l’été dernier et qui fera le tour du monde.
Sons de cloches, percussions ponctuelles, et chant folklorique Espagnol forment le fil rouge du morceau, avant que les percussions reviennent en force.

Souriant, délirant, charismatique, une seule chose compte pour lui : vous voir danser et passer une agréable soirée. En effet, comme il le dit lui-même, « à la différence d’un instrument traditionnel, jouer nécessite une grande connexion avec l’auditoire ». Il est effectivement très surprenant de voir à quel point Francisco est très sensible au climat de la soirée, climat qui influencera son set, dès sa première track engagée.

Francisco est en tournée mondiale actuellement. Il commence son voyage musical par Barcelone, Rome, Amsterdam et sera le 24 avril de passage à Nantes, avant de s’envoler cet été pour le Japon.

Young and skilled DJ from Latin America, he started mixing in Santiago’s nightclubs at the age of 20 years old. Professionnal for 10 years, his reputation grows up at every single show.
His influence is accentuated on rythmic tech-house melted with classic minimal, thrown in a bunch of Chilian folk and afro-latino percussives.

He was part of the Love Parade, Creamfields and Southfest festivals, sharing the controls with Alejandro Vivanco, Alexi Delano and Luciano as well. Cadenza’s boss, Luciano, took him under his wings and signed one of his best productions at this time : « Llovizna », a really amazing track which claimed massive shouts all over the world. Bells sounds, time-to-time percussives and spanish sings are the timeline of the track, before percussions hit back reaching a top of intensity.

Smiling, amazing, charismatic, his only moto is to see you dancing and spend a good night. As he said : « contrary to a traditional instrument, playing needs a great connexion with the audience ». It is very interesting to see how Francisco is very sensitive with the atmosphere of the night, atmosphere influencing as well his set once first disc is being spinned.

Francisco is on a world tour at the moment. Starting his musical expedition in Barcelona, then Rome, Amsterdam and will be on the 24 of April in Nantes before flying to Japan this summer.

Ark possède un style qui varie entre éclectisme et une certaine sonorité « organique ». Depuis ses origines de guitariste au sein de groupes de funk des années 80, dont le très remarquable Trankilou, il fit notamment la rencontre du légendaire Pépé Bradock ou encore de Matthew Herbert & Losoul avec qui aboutit une collaboration exemplaire avec le titre « Belle Lurette » en 1999. Les séries « Alleluyark EP » depuis l’année 2003 donnèrent à Ark ses lettres de noblesses dans un domaine ralliant techno, house groovy et expérimental. Son album « Caliente » sorti en 2005 sur le label Perlon reçut une reconnaissance générale, critiques soutenant également ses travaux plus récents avec Shalom (sous le projet Shalark), Krikor (sous le projet Krikark), Cabanne (sous le projet Copacabannark), Mikael Weill (sous le projet Les Cerveaux Lents) et Dolibox. Côté remix l’artiste possède un rayon aussi vaste qu’un tunnel, retravaillant des morceaux tels que ceux de Stephen Beaupré, Mr Oizo, Archive, Mossa, Salif Keita, Slabb, Fym, Robag Wruhme… Des chanteurs tels que Xanax et Lippie peuvent être écoutés sur le tout dernier LP de Ark, bientôt disponible en CD et vinyl…

Ark raised up his own galaxy, something between an eclectic and “organic” sound. From his origins as a guitarist in a number of 80’s funk bands, most remarquable Trankilou, where he hooked up with the legendary Pepe Bradock and onto the great Matthew Herbert & LoSoul with their first collaboration, ‘Belle Lurette’ in ‘99. His 2005 long player on Perlon, ‘Caliente’ won him critical acclaim, still in the scene by his more recent works made with Shalom (as Shalark), Krikor (as Krikark), Cabanne (as Copacabannark), Mikael Weill (as Les Cerveaux Lents) and Dolibox.
