Instant T by Chocky [Big Bait]

Pour cet Instant T, nous prenons la direction du Royaume-Uni, plus précisément Londres, pour rencontrer Chocky. Son pseudo provient d’une nouvelle de John Wyndham où un alien tente de communiquer avec le monde en utilisant des fréquences et des sons. Rien à voir avec la poupée Chucky ou la boisson Choky.

En parfait respect de la tradition britannique et contrairement au son froid et synthétique allemand, il propose une musique chaleureuse et « instrumentale » additionnée de voix sans jamais partir dans des travers lyriques. C’est ainsi que l’on obtient une House Old School avec une sensibilité dans les mélodies tranchée par une rythmique massive parfois comparable à du Mr G. Pour les amateurs du genre, la découverte de cet artiste sera le moment phare de leur journée de digger. Ils l’ont peut-être déjà déniché sur XLR8R… Ca groove, c’est joli et c’est surtout bien fait !

Chocky retient les informations des projets à venir , mais il a tout de même accepté de révéler une sortie vinyle pour 2015 partagée aux côtés de Tilman sur « Ears have Eyes records ».

For this Instant T, we’re moving to UK, precisely in London, to meet Chocky. His moniker comes from a John Wyndham novel where an alien tries to communicate to the world, using frequencies and sounds.It has nothing to do with the Chucky doll or the chocolate drink Choky.

Respecting the British tradition in opposite to the cold and synthetic German sound, he proposes warm music, « instrumental », where voices are added without falling into Lyric style. This way we get a Old School House sound, sensitive with the melodies but cut with a massive rhythms sometimes comparable to Mr G. For lovers of this genre, finding this artist will be the highlight of their day… they probably already found him on XLR8R… It grooves, it’s nice and it’s perfectly done!
