Introspectif, mental, harmonieux. Trois qualificatifs qui pourraient définir ‘All in all’, second album de l’allemande Cio D’or, à sortir sur Semantica.

‘All in all’ s’aborde donc davantage par chapitre, que par morceau, tels qu’ils furent définis.

‘All in all’ est tout d’abord sorti en LP le 13 avril dernier, comprenant les parties ‘After and before’ et ‘Floor X’.

Introspective, mental, harmonious. Three adjectives that could define ‘All in all’, second album of the German artist Cio D’or, out on Semantica. A 73th release for Svreca’s label about which we have done a Label Week on Input Selector.

While listening the three terms seem reducing for these 12 tracks which sound like another step completed in the career of the Cologne’s artist. An almost musical biography, approached in three different phases. An approach which we could easily put in parallel to her live performances. Three phases, three atmospheres, three states of mind peculiar to a singular artist who has the ability to mix ambient with harder and darker techno.

‘All in all’ can be approached through its chapters more than track after track. The first one is called ‘After and before’, the introspective part of this album. It includes the use of acoustic instruments, not common in the biography of the artist, bringing lightness and musicality.
A more personal part than the second, named’Floor x’. A name which indicates the direction taken by the artist, more rhythmic and engaging.
The album concludes with ‘Yocta to yotta’, which literally means the largest unit to the smallest one, more mental and dark. We will simply make a stop on Hecto, the exotic asset of this album, the meeting of the coldness of German culture with the Japanese one, a country where she likes to travel and absorbs the culture, as she confessed to us during an interview.

This album is above all a symbiosis, a subtle balance between ambient, experimental music and techno, a synthesis of influences and experiences that artistically has few equivalents in the current musical landscape.

‘All in all’ is first released in LP on April 13 , including the parts ‘After and before’ and ‘Floor X’ .Will follow the release of ‘ Yocta to Yotta ‘, also in EP, mid-May, such as the CD version containing all the tracks.
