IS 045 – Pit Spector [Minibar, Circus Company, Karat]

Pit Spector a débuté la musique par le piano et la guitare, participant à des groupes de Reggae et de Jazz avant de tomber dans la grande marmite électronique, bercé par les comptines distordues de son grand frère Ark qui lui prêta un sampler en guise de hochet et un album d’Herbert pour le goûter.

Depuis 2005, il participe au projet Antislash (Circus Company, Karat…) avec John Merrick et Charlie Not Fonk. Il signe en 2009 son premier EP solo sur le label Minibar, un maxi résolument minimal et funky salué par de nombreux artistes du milieu (Dave Aju, Matthias Tanzman, Someone Else…).

A l’occasion de sa venue à Nantes pour l’Input Selector Party, il nous offre à travers ce podcast un avant goût de la soirée de vendredi soir où il officiera en live solo pour la première fois.

Pit Spector began to play the piano and the guitar working with Reggae and Jazz band. After that, he fell down into the huge electronic pot, nourish by his older brother Ark who lent him a sampler instead of a rattle and an album from Herbert for his children’s party.

Since 2005, he has contributed to the project called Antislash (Circus Compagny / Karat / …) with John Merrick and Charlie Not Fonk. In 2009, he signed his first solo EP on Minibar, an album completly Funk Minimal acclaims by some well-known artists like Dave Aju, Matthias Tanzman, Someone Else, …).

Pit Spector is coming to Nantes for our Input Selector Party and he is using this occasion to give us a taste of the party with this set on our Podcast. Friday he will play live for the very first time in solo ! Enjoy this set exceptionnaly delivered before Saturday.
