Sigward – The Chief EP [Manual Music]

Sigward a fait ses débuts sur Manual Music le mois dernier avec le très doux morceau ‘Havana Goodbye’ présent sur la compilation « Summer Movement ». Il est donc maintenant temps pour ce talentueux néerlandais de sortir son premier EP après avoir produit pour plusieurs labels undergrounds tels que Minaminal et Paria Records. Tandis que les morceaux ‘Chief Wildwhores’ et ‘El Camaleon’ trouvent le juste milieu entre progressive et techno, ‘Rits’ montre une approche plus lente, profonde et dansante, utilisant des extraits d’un sample très connu (a vous de le reconnaitre !). Arjuna Schiks (Trapez / All Is One) rempli pour sa part sa tâche de remixeur avec brio par une approche techno housey. Un EP qui plaira à coup sur aux amateurs du genre !

Sigward debuted on Manual Music last month with the smooth ‘Havana Goodbye’ track which was featured on the Summer Movement compilation. Now it’s time for a full debut EP from this talented Dutchman who previously did some stuff for underground labels such as Minaminal and Paria Records. Whilst the Chief Wildwhores and El Camaleon tracks find the middle between progressive and techno, Rits takes it a bit slower, deeper and bouncier, using snippets of a well known sample (recognise !). Arjuna Schiks (Trapez / All Is One) fulfills the remix duties with a nice techhousey approach. An allround EP that will appeal to many for sure !
