Après nous avoir offert un magnifique mix dimanche dernier, Eric en a profité pour répondre aux 10 questions de nos playlists Instant T.

Le track idéal pour détruire un dancefloor ? Best track to slaughter a dancefloor?

One of my ultimate gems. It has never not worked on a dancefloor. Broom at his finest.

Le track idéal en after ? Best track for an after party?

There’s no denying how gorgeous and lush this track is, and even though it was made in the 70’s, everyone in the chill out scene copied this formula for years.

Le track idéal pour commencer un set ? Best track to start a set?

I’ve used this god knows how many times to start sets, but sometimes the long-game that is this track can lose people due to impatience. But once they figure out the groove to it they stick with me for the next few hours.

Le track idéal pour avoir le smile ? Best track to make people smile?

Call it what you want, everyone that’s been in to electronic music long enough knows this long, and every single one of us has danced our asses off to it, be it at a club, in the car, or simply while watching the last act of « trainspotting. »

I recently dug this out and have been sneaking it in here and there and it always elicits the same reaction – people start to hear it come in, and they kind of look at each other like « oh…no…he isn’t… » and then the chords start and they literally lose their mind right in front of me.

Le track idéal pour se délecter d’un 18 ans d’age dans un fauteuil au coin du feu ? Best track with an 18 year old wine sitting in a rocking chair next to the fireplace?

Well, seeing as I don’t drink wine due to an allergic reaction to the sulfites (massive headache instantaneously), I’ll replace that with whiskey and carry on…

If this doesn’t scream « here, young man…relax after a long day…, » then i give up.

Le track idéal pour replonger en enfance ? Best track to dive back into childhood?

My mother has always had a healthy obsession with Sting, but I’ll never forget being a child and hearing the police in our family station wagon quite frequently. This song always has had a deep space in my heart and i will never, ever get sick of it.

Le track idéal pour te réveiller ? Best track to wake you up?

If there’s ever a song I wish would go on to infinity its this one. And what’s worse is that at the end you can hear that, as it fades out, they probably jammed to this for at least another 30 min. Regardless… this screams « easy like sunday morning. »

Le track idéal à n’importe quelle heure ? Best track at any time?

Find me a problem with this track and I’ll probably yell at you about it for at least an hour. This thing is solid gold.

Le track idéal pour caractériser tes productions ? Best track to characterize your productions?

This is kind of how it sounds for the first couple weeks, then I somehow get it worked out.

« You ate my fractal! »

Le track idéal pour résumer tes inspirations musicales ? Best track to summarize your musical inspirations?

Spacey, heady, deep, funky, mental… This is pretty much one of my all time favourite tracks and I can listen to it on repeat for days. Mills owns me in so many ways, but this one totally nails it.
